Overview

The Registrar’s Office is home to the university’s academic records. The registrar maintains student academic progress from the moment they step on campus. If a student has questions about course enrollment, grades, academic status, transfer credits, or graduation readiness, they should make an appointment.

Our Office Functions:

The Registrar’s staff is responsible for the following: execution of all course registrations (on-campus, online, cross-consortium); classroom and meeting reservations; transfer credit processing; verification of articulation agreements with other universities and programs; undergraduate readmissions; transcript and diploma issuance; and maintenance of the academic calendar.

Common Questions

Yes, click the Save button on the Grade Roster page, and the grades will be stored in the system. They will not be submitted to the Registrar’s Office until you click the Submit to Registrar button.
Yes, enter them in to the shopping cart, and they will be held until you are ready to enroll in them.
Full-time status requires a minimum of 12 hours for undergraduate and 9 hours for graduate students. The University defines part-time enrollment status as less than 12 credit hours per semester for undergraduate students and less than 9 hours for graduate students.

If current students and their advisors determine they are eligible for graduation, they should submit their graduation application via the student portal in BISON. Please visit Graduation for more information.

For legal name changes, a Social Security card authority name change is required for U.S. citizens, and for international students, a certified copy of the legal document authorizing the name change is required. Current students submit their name change request via eSign, please refer to the Forms page under Personal Information Update. Alumni can contact us at the Registrar’s Office. Current students can change their home and mailing addresses in the student portal in BISON however for the degree address, please submit a change of address via eSign. Please refer to the Forms page under Personal Information Update.

Services and Support

If you are not currently an enrolled undergraduate student, you must contact the Admissions Office. If you are a non-matriculated graduate student, you must contact the Grad School for enrollment information. Currently enrolled students should meet with their advisors to determine their class schedule and enroll for their classes via the student portal in BISON. If special permission is required for a particular course, students must obtain permission for that course before registration. Students may print copies of their grades using the BISON Web portal.
Students may print copies of their semester schedules using the BISON Web portal.
